Work Experience

Wolters Kluwer

April 2021 - present

Senior CX/UX Designer

I proudly conducted a short-term contextual design study and participated in both the research and design. I have been primary designer for several projects, and facilitated a design thinking workshop in an extremely short time period for 20+ participants. I have designed improvements for several products with an emphasis on future-proofing. I regularly meet expectations and deliverables on time and with high quality. I make design decisions for multiple development teams and am responsible for the design of web applications and components. I continue to demonstrate creative, technical, and analytical skills, and work to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments. My work has me regularly developing high-fidelity visual designs and interactions for a variety of products.

At Home Group Inc.

August 2020 - April 2021

Customer Support Specialist (Manager)

During peak COVID, I found a temporary job that allowed me to keep my communication, management, and problem-solving skills sharp while I continued to search for my next design role.

-----

While there, I performed store conditioning tasks and housekeeping while ensuring a safe working and shopping environment. I regularly performed manager functions and managed front-end audit and cash compliance responsibilities. I trained and managed a team of associates and was available to address any and all complications and concerns. I was responsible for building opening and closing tasks, including team management, quick problem-solving, and building security. I also regularly monitored customer experience metrics and implemented new strategies to ensure guest satisfaction and engagement.

UX Designer (Contract)

I was the principal designer for SmartBook advertisement scheduling software, including both manual and automated scheduling modules, standardized reports, dashboards, and integrations with other enterprise

My work received rave reviews from technology leaders, business customers, and end users upon implementation. The project's immediate adoption reduced overnight work and supported the completion of a $5.3M campaign during normal office hours. I also participated in agile scrum teams as a shared specialty resource.
